Program description and what is included

The English programme here consists of 15 hours or 20 lessons per week. Children are taught in groups of up to 15 people. Classes are divided according to language level and held in the morning with the main focus on language and linguistic skills. A part of the lessons is dedicated to studying the British culture in detail. Twice a week they organize speaking clubs for extra practice of the language. The course is available at all levels.

Description

Bootham School is a traditional English private school in the centre of York. It sits just outside the city walls and the spires of the famous York Minster can be seen from the grounds. The school boasts excellent modern teaching and
sports facilities.

York is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in the UK. It is to be found 25 miles to the east of Leeds and 40 minutes from the east coast of England. The city has a proud Roman and Viking heritage which is still in evidence today.

The school has cutting-edge sports and educational facilities. Music, drama and dance workshops for children are held in their spare time. On campus there are tennis courts, basketball court, swimming pool, gym and playing fields. Excursions to Leeds, Whitby, the York Railway Museum and the family estate of the Howard aristocrats are all included. At the weekend kids go on a tour of Manchester's Old Trafford Stadium. 

Children will be accommodated on campus. There are 1-4 people in a room and facilities are shared. Laundry facilities are available on campus and rooms are cleaned six times a week. Meals are provided three times a day.
